Holistic Interior Design: Where Beautiful Spaces Meet Wellbeing

Most interior decorating focuses on one question: does it look good? Holistic design asks a second one: does it feel good to live in?
At Heaven at Home ICT, both questions matter equally. Founder Megan Feeney brings a doctoral background in Holistic Life Coaching (D.HLc.) into every project — meaning your space isn't just styled, it's designed with an eye toward how it actually affects your day-to-day life.
WHAT HOLISTIC INTERIOR DESIGN MEANS, IN PRACTICE
Color with intention.
Color affects mood more than most people realize. We choose palettes based on how a room is used — calming tones for bedrooms and bathrooms, energizing tones for kitchens and workspaces — not just what's trending.
Clarity over clutter.
A visually overwhelming room creates a mentally overwhelming one. Part of our process is identifying what a space actually needs (and what it doesn't), so every room feels lighter, not just fuller.
Natural light and materials.
Where possible, we design around natural light and bring in organic materials — wood, stone, natural fiber textiles — that tend to feel more grounding than synthetic ones.
Flow that matches how you actually move.
A home should support your daily rhythm, not fight it. We pay close attention to how you move through a space — where you drop your keys, where you unwind, where the kids do homework — and design around real life, not just a floor plan.
Personal meaning.
A house filled with generic decor rarely feels restful. We build in room for the things that are actually yours — photos, heirlooms, collections — so the finished space feels like you, not a showroom.

WHY IT MATTERS
Homeowners who go through this process consistently tell us the same thing: the space doesn't just look better, it feels different to be in. Less friction getting through a morning. A guest room that finally feels like a retreat instead of a storage closet. An office that makes it easier to focus.
This is the same design philosophy whether we're working on a single room, a full home, a virtual e-design package, or preparing a home for sale — a calm, well-designed space isn't just nicer to live in, it's easier for potential buyers to imagine themselves in, too.
WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE AS A PROJECT
Every holistic decorating project starts with the inquiry questionnaire. Please expect a response within 1–2 business days (free discovery call available upon request). Next, we’ll schedule a paid design consultation or I’ll send a flat-rate quote for your approval. Once approved, I’ll send your invoice for payment. Once payment is received, we’ll schedule your project kick-off, virtually for e-design or on-site for local projects, and work begins. You can also explore Interior Decorating and Virtual Interior Design to learn more.
